Novak has worst draw IMO.

Sunshine might not make it.

vw, which one of Sunshines? Lot of them out there these days. Just what the WTA wants. Lots of blonde, leggy, blue eyed women playing tennis.

I have always felt that none of the top players can ever get a tough draw. Just not possible. The top 2 have an insane h2h against the rest of the field and those who you would once consider threats are no longer threats. The headcases are now being called threats just because of how they have performed in the last few majors.

Nope, who would have thought that Falla would have taken Federer to 5 sets at Wimbledon or indeed who thought that Petzschner would give Nadal his hardest match at Wimbledon? Does anyone really think those guys can repeat those performances? If anyone does they really need to lay off the juice.

Biggest threat to the top 2 are the guys ranked right below them and even they are not much of a threat. Biggest threat to the top 2 are the top 2 themselves.

TennisAceI think vw was talking about Wozniacki whose official nickname is Sunshine.

I'm holding off talking about the draws until I've had a chance to ponder them a bit.

haha Tennis Ace. You are right. There are a lot of blonde ones but the official Sunshine is the media darling from a "western" country and that's what counts.Maria to me is not even Russian, she's from Malibu. Elena, Azarenka, Kirlenko are eastern country types. JJ is brunette and exotic looking, too ethnic for them. And forget Sveta.

Same with Murray, he's the male Sunshine. Western country, Beckham PR firm, all talking heads pulling for him. He's the favorite AGAIN, year after year, GS after GS. LOL I just heard PMac say that Roddick must be relieved that he doesn't have any of the top 3 in his quarter.

vw, LOL so true
Savannah, I knew she was talking about Sunshine but these days I am sure that the commentators like the "colour" of the WTA, even if the fans are bemoaning what they are going to be doing.

I think I have to go with Craig on this one when he says that Murray will never win a major, which is perhaps why people like Gilbert are pushing so hard for on court coaching because clearly people like Murray could benefit from a coach coming down courtside while he is getting his ass handed to him.

There is a reason why Nadal and Federer are at the top of men's tennis. They are consistent. They have game. You write them off at your peril. These guys know when to win and how to win. The only person who seemed to have FeDal's number especially on hard courts is DelPo. No one else.

The new name for Djokovic is Tiny Thorax (as a result of his breathing problems). LOL Fans, you gotta love them

Look what they're speculating on, ladies.

Djokovic might already have gone as far as he can with his problem. I was reading that a while back Volandri had used his inhaler for asthma and was fined for it. I think inhalers have steroids or stimulants in them so he's screwed. There has been speculation for years about Djok. Luke Jensen during AO, Boris Becker during Wim. I just heard Doug Adler on streaming and Chris Fowler on ESPN say during Toronto he had asthma.

vw, I think he can get a therapatic use exemption in order to use the inhaler if indeed he does have asthma. I recently saw a player using an inhaler during a changeover at a recent tennis event. Cannot for the life of me remember the woman's name, but I am sure it will come back to me. I thought it was strange seeing as we have heard that these things are banned.
