Wimbledon 2010 Rafa Proves Them Wrong

Rafael Nadal, ranked number two here presumably because he didn't play SW 19 last year due to injury, once again faced a draw that would have daunted lesser men. Like the true champion he is he bent but he didn't break sweeping aside all comers and winning the Final in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 in front of his parents, family and friends.
Rafa will take a few weeks off - he is skipping Davis Cup play - and all indications point to him starting his hard court campaign in Cincinnati

I'll do a more in depth look at the victories of Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams as well as post pictures of all the winners on Tuesday when I do a look back at the Championships Wimbledon.

To all tennis fans in the United States please have a safe and happy Fourth of July.

I will be a Cincy again this year! Hope to see some really good tennis. 2011 Cincy will be combined as will Rome.

oh well, I once read that a cupcake draw doesn't make a champion, it's not such a bad feeling to be right, no? ;)
