For one thing, it went on, and on, and on. Why couldn't Roger at least congratulate Rafa and say something like "I'm a bit overcome -- I'll talk later" and step away? Instead he just stood there in the limelight. One way or another he managed to find a way to take as much of the joy out of it as possible from Rafa.

BTW, IMHO that he was introduced as "everyone's favourite tennis player" at a presentation celebrating Rafa's win is inexcusable. Just another in a long series of slights to the rest of the field not named Roger Federer.Helen Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07008651858978530028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-757702474597183495.post-66940684195400067562009-02-01T22:53:00.000-05:002009-02-01T22:53:00.000-05:00But calling it "crocodile tears" is just unfair. But calling it "crocodile tears" is just unfair.Catehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05784849744520937614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-757702474597183495.post-44267241350057439382009-02-01T18:44:00.000-05:002009-02-01T18:44:00.000-05:00What a quote, that selfish, stuck-up thing. The bes...What a quote, that selfish, stuck-up thing.

The best thing is that we now have Murray who routinely beats the slobbering Fed in 3 setters AND we have Nadal who routinely beats him in 5 setters.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
